Our Bedtime Stories: Story of the Tunpa pa Remeya (the Goanna and the Perentie)

ICTV's Our Bedtime Stories presents stories for children in Indigenous language, using traditional storytelling techniques together with animation, music and film.

In this episode, Christobel Swan tells the Story of the Tunpa pa Remeya (The Goanna and the Perentie) in Pertame as a children's story. Recorded just outside Alice Springs on the Old South Road.

The opening and closing animation was inspired by art work from Bindi Artists, and features a sound track written by Stephen Pigram, and performed by Raymond Dixon at the Winanjjikari Music Centre.

This project was supported by the Community Broadcasting Foundation, and the Australian Government Department of Communication and Arts.
